Mount Investment Update

As of this writing, Mount has raised nearly $100,000 through it’s WeFunder campaign, which we are leading.

Here we will:

  1. Give you a brief overview of Mount

  2. Provide answers to FAQ that the Founder & CEO, Madi Rifkin, has been getting

  3. Share some recent Mount press

1. What does Mount do?

Mount is the amenity management company for all private real estate companies. Their beachhead markets are hospitality and Airbnb hosts. Mount is starting with scooters and e-bikes, but plans to open up its services to all amenities — Kayaks, bikes, paddleboards, golf carts, and golf clubs. They can track, manage and monetize these amenities for landlords and hosts. More detail on Mount here.

2. Frequently asked questions

Madi has been fortunate to have a lot of meetings…which means she’s had the chance to hear a lot of the same questions! Below are some of the most common questions and answers.

How does the business model work?

Mount charges $80/month per asset on its platform. Mount then takes 10% of all rental revenue. The host keeps the remaining 90% of rental revenue.

How does Mount sell or get in contact with Airbnb Hosts?

Mount’s General Outbound Sales Process for Micro Hospitality
1. Find Facebook Group with Airbnb Hosts
2. Post messages about their services and company with a link directing interested customers to a survey
3. Prospects fill out the survey with property information, customer information, etc.
4. Mount has an automated message sent either accepting the customer into the pipeline or passing on the opportunity. This qualification is dependent on location, size and volume of their properties.
5. If the host gets accepted, Mount automatically sends them a sales deck and a link to sign up for a meeting.
6. It normally takes that one meeting to close the host.
The total sales cycle ends up being roughly 1 week

What is Mount’s competitive advantage? Who are Mount’s competitors?

There are companies offering various guest experiences like Airbnb experience or Leo Rides, but there is no company with the versatility that Mount has. Airbnb experiences focus on the local businesses of an area and Leo Rides can only handle scooters.
